This honeycomb structure formed of an nonwoven fabric carries one kind or two kinds or more of an adsorbing material, a catalyst, microbes and a microbial decomposer and has a performance such as deodorizing, air cleaning or sterization. In addition, the honeycomb structure is shaped like a sphere, hemisphere, gourd, rectangular parallelopiped, piece, barrel, half-barrel, trapezoid or cone. The method for manufacturing the honeycomb structure comprises the steps to laminate and bond nonwoven fabrics which carry one kind or two kinds or more of an adsorbing material, a catalyst, microbes and a microbial decomposer or contain a functional group introduced by radiation graft polymerization or radiation after-effect polymerization, with the help of an adhesive applied linearly at an interval corresponding to a honeycomb cell size and besides in such a manner that the linear position of the adhesive is deviated 1/2 inch between the adjacent adhesive layers.
