When honing of the cylindrical inner peripheral surface Wa of a material W to be cut is performed by reciprocating and rotating a honing tool 10 arranged with a honing stick 20, electrolytic dressing is imparted to a distal end side range 20A of the honing stick 20 by applying voltage to an electrode 24 for electrolytic dressing arranged in an opposed cut material holding portion 21 under existence of water base coolant and the honing stick 20, and electrolytic dressing is applied to a base end side range 20B of the honing stick 20 by applying voltage to an electrode 34 for electrolytic dressing arranged in an opposed tool insertion guide 31 under existence of a conductive grinding liquid, and to the honing stick 20. The electrolytic dressing of the honing stick 20 can be performed at the same time as the honing, the high quality honing is provided, and working efficiency is improved.
