To provide a honing device capable of honing a cylinder bore so as to restrain deformation of the cylinder bore during actual operation of an engine, and allowing a hone guide to be easily switched.
A guide part 23A of the hone guide 12 is fixed to a cylinder block W1, and a pressing member is pressed against a bottom of a water jacket with a pressing rod 19 to apply a load onto a prescribed portion of the cylinder bore 2 from an outer peripheral side. An inner peripheral face of the cylinder bore 2 is honed with a hone head 11 in the above state, and the deformation of the cylinder bore during the actual operation of the engine is restrained. By reversing the hone guide 12 with a rotational shaft 24 allows the hone guide 12 to be switched to fix the guide part 23B with respect to the other cylinder block W2. In this case, since the pressing rod 19 out of use is moved to an opposite side of the cylinder blocks W1, W2, the pressing rod 19 does not interfere with the cylinder blocks W1, W2.
