To solve at least one of the disadvantages caused by integrating air nozzles and guide pads into one unit in a honing head.
The guide pads 76, 78 are dismountably fixed, by bolts 80, to two guide pad mounting grooves 60 so as to separate in the diametrical direction. Air nozzles 90, which are separated from the guide pads 76, 78, is fixed to the gap positions 82 between the guide pads 76, 78 in the guide pad mounting grooves 60. When the guide pads 76, 78 have worn, they are dismounted, and spacers are mounted and fixed, and then guide surfaces 84, 86 are finished. The air nozzle 90, which are separated from the guide pads 76, 78, are left intact in a head body 20, and the adjustment of the gap for them is unnecessary. The adjustment of the gap for the guide pads 76, 78 can be quickly performed.
