Abstract:
PURPOSE: To carry out accurate machining from a first workpiece without generating a machining failure even at the time of using new honing sticks with sharp surface properties.
CONSTITUTION: In the case of using new honing sticks 29 with sharp surface properties, the rotating speed of a honing head 1 and the expanding pressure of the honing head 29 fitted to the periphery of the honing head 1 being pressed to the inner surface of a cylinder bore 17 are both lowered in comparison to a normal machining condition, and in this state, honing is applied to several cylinder blocks 19. As to the cylinder blocks 19 machined afterwards, honing is applied in the normal machining condition.
