Abstract:

To provide a tool for honing in which even when an inner peripheral wall of a hole formed in a workpiece has a shape deviated from a complete cylindrical shape, only a surface property can be improved while keeping the shape, and a method for honing.

The tool 1 for honing is provided with taper cone shafts 31, 32, 33, and a first grinding stone shoe 6 supporting a first grinding stone 41 at a distal end side and a first grinding stone 42 at a base end side. The first grinding stone shoe 6 includes a first taper guide 62 at sliding contact with taper faces 311, 331 of the taper cone shafts 31, 33, and a first grinding stone supporting part 61 supporting the first grinding stone 41 at the distal end side and the first grinding stone 42 at the base end side both directed to an outer peripheral side. The first grinding stone supporting part 61 is rockably connected to the first taper guide 62, and the first grinding stone 41 at the distal end side and the first grinding stone 42 at the base end side are respectively attached to a first grinding stone piece 81 at the distal end side and a first grinding stone piece 82 at the base end side rockably provided to the first grinding stone supporting part 61.
