To provide a hood panel for car having excellent pedestrian protection property which is capable of reducing the HIC value even when reducing the clearance between the hood panel and a rigid member such as an engine, and mitigating the restriction to selection of a material.
In the hood panel for car, a projecting part and a recessed part are formed in a rigid member interference part of an inner panel corresponding to the position of a rigid member in an engine room; the projecting part located on the distant side from an outer panel is opposite to the recessed part located on the close side; and the inner panel and the outer panel are integrated with each other. The total of the area of the projecting part and the area of the recessed area is 70% of the area of the rigid member interference part.
