To provide hop tea containing pharmacologically effective ingredients (prenylflavonoid) to a person who does not want to take alcohol but wants to take pharmacologically effective ingredients contained in the hop, and effective for preventing menopausal disorders and geriatric diseases.
The pharmacological effectiveness of prenylflavonoid in the hop is noted. The hop of the Saaz species is boiled for 10 min (1 litter water:1 gram hop). The obtained aqueous suspension is allowed to stand for 20 min at room temperature, filtered to remove unnecessary solids and added with sugar to adjust bitterness to be easily taken, and is provided as a liquid tea. The hop to be employed is a solid condensed type used in beer brewing, thus extraction of the effective ingredients is easily performed and excels in costs.
