Abstract:
PURPOSE: To make it possible to lift and tilt a hopper with simple construction at a low cost without using a link mechanism and, at the same time, to make it possible to improve design efficiency of a road sweeper and the visibility of a driver's seat.
CONSTITUTION: A hopper 5 storing dust D is provided to the body, and a dust throwing port 6 is provided to a driver's seat side thereof. Lift arms 8 are arranged to both right and left sides of the hopper 5, the base end is pivoted on the body 1 of the rear side of the hopper, and the front end is pivoted on the front of the hopper 5. A lift cylinder 11 is provided between an intermediate section of the lift arms 8 and the body 1. In the upper parts of the lift arms 8, a tilt dump cylinder 12 is provided between the lift arms 8 and hopper 5, and the hopper 5 is thereby tilted back and forth. The tilt dump cylinder 12 has such functions that the hopper 5 is held approximately horizontal to prevent the dust D from falling on the road and that the hopper 5 is moved slantly back and forth.
