To provide a horizontal blind with an excessively excellent shielding property.
A horizontal blind comprises: a plurality of ladder cords 5 which are suspended from a headbox 3; a bottom rail 7 which is arranged on lower ends of the ladder cords 5; a slat group 11 consisting of many stages of slats 9 which are supported by the ladder cords 5; a plurality of lifting cords 13 which are hung from the headbox 3 and support the bottom rail 7; and lifting means for lifting the bottom rail 7 by varying length of the lifting cords 13 between the headbox 3 and the bottom rail 7 from the side of the headbox 3, in which the lifting cords 13 are hung from the same or inside position in the longitudinal direction of the headbox 3 to positions where the ladder cords 5 are hung from the headbox 3, offset toward edges of the slats 9 as approaching the bottom rail 7, and the respective slats 9 of an upper slap group 11a are provided with holes 15 or notches 17 for reducing interference with inside hung lifting cords.
