PURPOSE: To cast a round cross sectional cast billet having good roundness even by executing high pressure drawing drive to roll pair for improving the surface and the internal qualities of the cast billet.

CONSTITUTION: The roll pairs 11A-11E in the drawing device for executing drawing drive to the cast billet 5 fed out of a mold, are arranged in plural seats so as to separate some interval in the casting direction. The contacting points of these roll pairs 11A-11E to the cast billet 5 are shifted in the peripheral direction in order so that each pair of the roll pairs 11A-11E are not brought into contact with the same position on the peripheral surface of the cast billet 5.
