PURPOSE: To provide a virtual reality system capable of obtaining a more natural working space and contributing to the diffusion to the general public.

CONSTITUTION: The system is provided with means 1 and 2 for three- dimensionally reproducing a video, a horizontal display type monitor 3 for displaying the three-dimensionally reproduced video, a pair of three-dimensional spectacles 4 whose right and left lenses can be switched at a prescribed cycle and a three-dimensional adapter 5 for driving so that the right and left lenses for the spectacles 4 can be switched over at the prescribed cycle in synchronism with the three-dimensionally reproduced video, and the horizontal display type monitor 3 is observed from the above with the three-dimensional spectacles 4.
