To effectively reduce blasting noise without reducing the blasting quantity by changing the blade chord length of each blade of a horizontal fan in an axial direction.
The axial intermediate part of a blade 14 formed by pressing a metal plate is formed into a reduced width part La short in blade chord length, while enlarged width parts Lb, Lc long in blade chord length are integrally formed at both axial end parts so as to change blade chord length in the axial direction of the blade 14. In this horizontal fan 11, the blade chord length of the reduced width part La at the axial intermediate part of each blade 14 is shortened to reduce air speed at the intermediate part, and the blade chord length of the enlarged width part Lb, Lc at both blade direction end parts of each blade 14 is lengthened to make air speed fast at both end parts and also to reduce a nose space of a fan end part, thereby making the air speed even faster. Axial air speed distribution can thereby be equalized without reducing blasting quantity in the whole length of the fan, and blasting noise caused by turbulent air flow can be reduced.
