PURPOSE: To prevent the damage caused on a sliding part between scrolls by catching and separating the lubricating oil, which is mixed into the gas while it is stirred and mixed by rotational driving of a rotor or a scroll compression element, by means of an oil separating element before the oil is discharged to the outside.
CONSTITUTION: The gas 12 coming from the outside is introduced into a gas suction part 49 of a scroll compression element 11 to be compressed therein. The compressed gas 12 is mixed, when it passes through a closed vessel 1, with lubricating oil 23 stirred by a rotor 7 of a motor element 5. In addition, the lubricating oil 23, which is supplied to a sliding part between a fixed scroll 29 and an oscillating scroll 31 in order to seal a compressed air space 41, is also mixed with the gas 12. The lubricating oil 23 mixed with the gas 12 is caught and separated by an oil separating element 51 and drops to the bottom of the closed vessel 1. As a result, the amount of lubricating oil 23 discharged to the outside decreases, and consequently the level of the lubricating oil 23 in the vicinity of an oil feeding mechanism 21 can be kept high. With this contrivance, the damage caused on the sliding part between the fixed scroll 29 and the oscillating scroll 31 can be prevented.
