PURPOSE: To prevent the occurrence of the stator drift and simplify assembling by inserting a wedge-shaped spacer with an inclined face into a gap between a stator and a case and movably supporting this wedge-shaped spacer.

CONSTITUTION: A compression mechanism section 4 and a motor section with a shaft 5 for rotatively driving the compression mechanism section 4 are assembled in a horizontal case 2. An wedge-shaped spacer 21 with an inclined face 20 is inserted into a gap 18 between the stator 15 of the motor section 6 and the interior of the first case 2. The wedge-shaped spacer 2 is movably supported with a long bolt 22. No stator drift occurs, and the structure and assembling are simplified.
