PURPOSE: To prepare newly-picked tea to serve in the New Year, by placing ginger leaves on a tea tree, thereby letting to put forth leaves in December.

CONSTITUTION: When ginger leaves are placed on a tea tree in autumn and winter, the tree put forth light yellowish green leaves, which are picked to prepare the tea for the New Year's serve. The phenomenon is supposed to be caused by the activity of plant hormone or plant hormone stimulating substance existing in the ginger leaves.
