PURPOSE: To provide a horn switch assembly which can dispense with a lead wire to connect movable contact point plates to each other in order to be grounded and can dispense with another joining means to join an energy absorbing body and the contact point plates together.

CONSTITUTION: A horn switch assembly is formed by integrally joining a horn switch to be installed on a steering wheel of an automobile to an energy absorbing body made of sheet metal. The horn switch is grounded from the lower end side of a rivet 121 after a pair of movable contact point plates 113 and 113 composed of an inverse angle-shaped leaf spring having movable contact points 111 on both ends are fastened to a fixed contact point plate 119 having fixed contact points 118 and 118 by the rivet 121 through upper and lower insulating sheets 115 and 117. Rivet 121 fastening of a movable contact point plate 113 and the fixed contact point plate 119 also serves as integral joining of an EA body 125 and the horn switch.
