Title:
HOSE COUPLING FOR FAUCET
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS56160472
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent vibration due to the change in secondary pressure at a hose coupling in which a water port is automatically shut off by abnormal pressure in a hose, by gradually closing the water port with a valve. CONSTITUTION:When a neck 1 is fitted on a faucet and a hose 9 is connected to a body 10, the body is pulled up to an ascent position by a spring 17 and a valve 22 is moved into a cylindrical part 6 of middle diameter so that a water port 8a is opened. When secondary pressuree in the hose 9 has increased due to the folding or the like of the hose 9, the pressure acts to a bellows 18 through the water port 8a and compresses the spring 17 to move down the body 10 so that the valve 22 shuts off the water port 8a to stop water outflow. When the valve 22 shuts off the water port 8a, the water passage constriction is gradually effected because of a slope 27 at the water port 8a. For that reason, the valve 22 does not vibrate.
