Abstract:
To provide a fire nozzle capable of releasing the connection with a separate receiving metal fitting to which a hose extended to a downstream side is connected only when water is stopped.SOLUTION: A fire nozzle includes an inner cylinder 20 capable of discharging fire fighting water from a nozzle 11 located at a downstream side, an outer cylinder 30 having a nozzle port closing part 33 capable of closing a nozzle port 11 and including an inserting fitting 31 at a downstream side end part, a connection release member 40 capable of releasing the connection between the inserting fitting and a receiving fitting by moving the receiving fitting from a non-release position to a release position with the connected inserting fitting 31, a nozzle port opening adjustment mechanism for continuously displacing the nozzle port closing part between a closing position at which the nozzle port closing part closes the nozzle port and a complete opening position at which the nozzle port closing part opens the nozzle port by relatively moving the outer cylinder with respect to the inner cylinder in an axial direction, and a connection release permission part 24a, 35a, 42 for permitting the connection release member to move to the release position only when the nozzle port closing part is located at the closing position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
