To provide an hot air dryer which dries a muddy object including moisture by blowing hot air to the muddy object while mechanically stirring it and has structure capable of efficiency performing drying.
Rotating shafts 4, 5 within a lower casing 2 are rotated to stir a muddy object charged to inside of the casing 2 by paddles 41, 51. Hot air is blown downwardly from a hot air inlet provided at an upper end of an air supply duct part 32 of an upper casing 3, is expanded to the axial direction of the rotating shafts 4, 5, passes through a plurality of nozzles 35 from the lower inner side of the duct part 32, and is blown obliquely downwardly to the top faces of the rotating shafts 4, 5 in a plurality of positions juxtaposed in the axial direction. Thereby, the muddy object is dried. Then, the hot air is pushed up by following hot air, is lifted within an exhaust air duct part 31, and is discharged from a hot air outlet 311 at the upper end. Since the movement of the hot air to the axial direction is restricted by a curtain-shaped partition member 36 within the duct part 31, the hot air is smoothly discharged.
