To provide a hot air type heater with improved washing performance and maintainability by allowing easy attachment and detachment of a heat exchanger through a suction opening in regard to a hot air type heater provided with the suction opening in a back face upper part, and a hot air blowout opening in a back face lower part.

The heat exchanger 3 facing the suction opening 1 and a blow fan 4 are provided in an air passage in a body connecting the suction opening 1 provided in the back face upper part, and the hot air blowout opening 2 provided in the back face lower part. It is composed such that the heat exchanger 3 can be easily and detachably attached through the suction opening 1 without removing the blow fan 4 or the like.
