PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drying furnace for drying a work piece to be heated while feeding hot blast into a heated segment in which a temperature of atmosphere in the heated segment is unified, drying quality is improved and it can also be applied to a workpiece influenced by blast pressure such as powder or the like.SOLUTION: A hot blast drying furnace is constituted by comprising: a hot blast drying device 1 installed outside a heating segment; a hot blast blowing-out part 3 having hot blast blowing-out ports 32 arranged along one wall surface or a plurality of wall surfaces in a defined segment (in a drying furnace) and arranged in rows from the forward side to the rear side; a hot blast supply flow passage 5 for feeding heated air from a hot blast generating device to the hot blast blowing-out part; a hot blast return port 42 becoming a discharging part for air from inside of the drying furnace to outside; and a discharging passage 6. Then, a discharging direction of hot blast from the blowing-out ports 32 of the hot blast blowing-out part 3 is not directly set to flow toward work pieces, but set to flow in parallel with the wall surfaces in the drying furnace or in a substantial parallel direction slightly toward the wall surfaces.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
