Abstract:
PURPOSE:To extend the turning-on or off life by coating an electron emitting material coated and impregnated on a filament on the filament section near lead wires. CONSTITUTION:Tip lead sections of a bead mount constituted of a glass bead 5 and lead wires 3 are folded to support a filament, an electron emitting material is coated and impregnated on the filament to the range that the distance from the lead wires 3 supporting the filament 2 is nearly zero. As a result, no arc concentration occurs near the lead wires 3 of the filament 2 when a lamp is started, the temperature of tungsten does not rise so much even if an arc is concentrated at the filament section coated with the electron emitting material at the time of start, shortening of the life by spattering is prevented.
