PURPOSE: To produce a hot chamber die casting member for Al alloy, not causing production defect in an insert member like crack, etc., and to obtain a durable die casting member in case of an injection of molten Al alloy.
CONSTITUTION: The hot chamber die casting member is made of three layer construction. The inner layer is made of a tube shape graphite part 4d, which is a passage of molten Al alloy, and formed to a gooseneck shape by connecting plural pieces of graphite parts. The inner layer is arranged around itself with a carbon fiber reinforced resin prepreg, hardened, carbonized by heating in inert atmosphere and formed the layer, which is made of a carbon reinforced carbon part 4d to reinforce the inner layer. The obtained two layer body is castin with cast iron to form the casting member 4a, becoming the hot chamber die casting member for Al alloy.
