Title:
HOT DIP ALUMINIZED PARTS AND PRODUCTION THEREOF
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH10121217
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To suppress the wear and erosion of parts to be used by being dipped in molten metal by laminating a dense metallic layer excellent in corrosion resistance to molten metal on the surface of a base material and laminating a ceramic layer excellent in wear resistance thereon.

A dense metallic layer 3 is laminated on the surface of the base material 2 of parts to be used by being dipped in molten metal, and a ceramic layer 4 is laminated on the dense metallic layer 3 to form the hot dip aluminized parts 1. As the molten metal to be used, molten Al and molten Zn are exemplified. As the metal excellent in corrosion resistance to the molten metal, Ti, Cr or the like are exemplified. The ceramic layer 4 has high hardness and excellent wear resistance and is composed of partially stabilized ZrO2, Al2O3, ZrSiO4 or mixtures of alumina zircon, zirconia zircon or the like. The dense metallic layer 3 and ceramic layer 4 are laminated by a thermal spraying method such as a plasma spraying method, a detonation flame spraying method, HVOF or the like, or a vapor deposition method such as a PVD method and a CVD method.
