Title:
HOT DIP GALVANIZED STEEL SHEET EXCELLENT IN WORKABILITY AND ITS PRODUCTION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3261193
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a hot dip galvanized steel sheet reduced in cracking at the time of working, having superior ductility, and excellent in workability by forming the structure of a plating layer into a fine structure of specific grain diameter.
CONSTITUTION: A steel sheet is hot-dip galvantzed, and at least one treatment among polishing, grinding, and machining is applied to a plating layer of the resulting hot dip galvanized steel sheet. By this treatment the structure of the plating layer is formed into a fine structure having an average grain diameter of ≤6μm, preferably ≤ about 1μm. At this time, it is desirable to control the amount of reduction in thickness of the plating layer to ≤ about 30%. By this method, the hot dip galvanized steel sheet free from cracking in the plating layer at the time of working of steel sheet, remarkably excellent in corrosion resistance, and having superior workability can be easily obtained.
