Abstract:

To provide a hot isotropic pressing device which can quickly perform cooling treatment within such an extent that a sealing function, etc., are not damaged by making the aperture of at least either one of first and second vent holes adjustable.

In a hot isotropic pressing(HIP) device, a high-pressure chamber 29 is defined by a high-pressure vessel 26, an upper lid 27, and a lower lid 28 and a furnace chamber 32 provided with a heater 31 is formed in a heat-insulating layer 30 formed in the chamber 29. A first vent hole 35 is formed through the upper surface of the layer 30 and two discoid adjusting tools 41 are inserted into the hole 35 in two stages of upper and lower stages through cylindrical spacers 45. In addition, a valve 39a which opens and closes the vent hole 35 is provided to the bottom of a driving device 38 to adjust the outflow of a gas in the chamber 32. When the valve 39a is opened by stopping the energization of the heater 31 after HIP treatment, the gas in the charmer 32 circulates in such a state that the gas flows out through the through holes 32 of the adjusting tools 41, flows in the chamber 32 through a second vent hole 36, ascends in the chamber 32, and again flows out through the holes 42. Therefore, the breakage of a high-pressure seal, etc., can be prevented at the time of cooling treatment.
