Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moisture-reactive hot-melt adhesive composition which contains a polyurethane prepolymer, does not contain residual reaction products of a crystalline polyester or a polyether precursor and imparts an effective adhesion to a substrate.
SOLUTION: The moisture-reactive hot-melt adhesive composition is formed by mixing a polyisocyanate, an amorphous polyol and from 0.1 to 10 pts.wt., based on the weight of the adhesive composition, component containing a styrene/aryl alcohol copolymer having a hydroxyl value of from 100 to 300 and a Mn of from 1,000 to 4,000. Here, the component has an equivalent ratio NCO/OH of from 1.05 to 2.5, does not contain an amorphous polyester nor polyether and contains <1 wt.% water based on the total weight of the component.
