Title:
HOT-MELT ADHESIVE TAPE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS59206477
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain an adhesive tape which enables a simply bound book to be divided into portions having a desired number of sheets by tearing, by providing a hot-melt adhesive layer through a resin layer on one side of a substrate, wherein the resin of said resin layer has a melt viscosity higher than that of the resin of the adhesive layer.

CONSTITUTION: A resin layer 2 is provided on one side of a substrate 1 and a hot-melt adhesive layer 3 is provided on the resin layer 2. The resin forming the resin layer 2 is one which has a melt viscosity higher than that of the hot- melt adhesive forming the layer 3. A simple binding of a number of sheets with this hot-melt ahdesive tape is carried out in such a manner that a number of sheets 5 are laminated and the hot-melt adhesive layer 3 is abutted against one side of the sheet laminate 6 in the lamination direction and pressed by heating to bond one edge of each sheet 5 in the lamination direction to obtain a simply bound book 8.
