Title:
HOT-MELT POLYURETHANE COMPOSITIONS AND SHOES BONDING METHOD USING THE SAME
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH02252785
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain an improved humidity curable hot-melt adhesive for bonding shoe soles to shoe uppers even when leather high in free fatty acid content is used by using a polyurethane prepolymer as a base material and adding a specified chain-extending agent thereto.

CONSTITUTION: A polyurethane prepolymer is used as a base material and 0.5-30 wt.% of aliphatic cyclic carbonate and 0.1-5 wt.% of aromatic carbodiimide are added to the base material to produce a reactive hot-melt urethane compsn. By this method, an improved humidity curable hot-melt adhesive effective for bonding shoe soles to a shoe uppers even when leather high in free fatty acid content is used within a short time is obtained.
