Abstract:
To provide a hot-melt polyvinyl alcohol resin composition having good thermal stability in melt molding, and a molded article and a film which are made from the composition and are excellent in water solubility, moisture resistance and biodegradability.
The hot-melt polyvinyl alcohol resin composition consists of a polyvinyl alcohol resin (A) having a 1,2-glycol linkage content of 2.0-3.5 mol% and alkali metal ions (B) at a weight ratio of component (A) to component (B) of 100:(0.0003 to 1).
