Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of diaphragming in the rear end part of a band steel without affecting a plate thickness.
SOLUTION: When the rear end part of the band steel 14 is tailed off from a rolling mill on this side of a final stand, by holding the band steel 14 in two places of the rolling rolls 11 and light rolling reduction rolls 12 of the rolling mill F7 of the final stand, the occurrence of the diaphragming of the rear end part of the band steel 14, is prevented. Also, the drawing down force of the light rolling reduction rolls 12, is controlled so that a load becomes constant according to the detected information of left and right load cells 22, and affecting the plate thickness and the travelling state of the band steel 14 by the light rolling reduction rolls 12, is eliminated.
