PURPOSE: To provide a hot stamping method by which to do hot stamping on a comparatively larger (15mm wide or larger) part, and in such a condition that any obstacle is present close to a surface to be wrought, as well as a hot-stamping device best suited for the mentioned method.

CONSTITUTION: A tilting press 8 is axially supported against an upper fixture 7 using a tilting shaft 8a in such a manner that said press 8 tilts freely, and further, has a columnar surface at the top. A hot stamp foil 2 is placed on a work to be processed 1c attached to a lower fixture 6 and is hot-pressed by activating the columnar surface of said tilting press 8 to press the foil 2 and at the same time, tilting the press 8 in an arrow (c) direction, while moving the lower fixture 6 in an arrow (d) direction.
