Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot water generator excellent in energy saving while preventing the freezing of a water-side channel of a radiator when an evaporator is frosted.SOLUTION: A hot water generator comprises: a refrigerant circuit 2 in which a compressor 21, channel switching means 26, a first heat exchanger 22 implementing heat exchange between refrigerant and a liquid, a decompressor 23, and a second heat exchanger 24 implementing heat exchange between the refrigerant and air are annularly connected by a pipe; a liquid passage 4a in which the liquid flows; a third heat exchanger 25 provided in the refrigerant circuit 2 between the first heat exchanger 22 and the decompressor 23 and implementing heat exchange between the refrigerant and the liquid; and a bypass passage 3 branched off from between the second heat exchanger 24 and the third heat exchanger 25 and connected to a compression chamber of the compressor 21, the liquid passage 4a being configured so that the liquid flows in order of the third heat exchanger 25 and the first heat exchanger 22. With this configuration, the dryness of the refrigerant flowing into the first heat exchanger 22 during defrosting increases. It is, therefore, possible to prevent the freezing of the liquid flowing in the liquid passage 4a, suppress the return of the liquid to the compressor 21, and improve the energy saving of the device.
