To provide a hot water storage type water heater capable of stopping the reheating operation in a case when a situation that the reheating is substantially hardly performed after the start of the reheating operation, or it takes very long time to terminate the reheating, is detected by monitoring a temperature detected by a bath return temperature sensor.
In this hot water storage type water heater comprising a hot water storing tank 2 for storing the hot water, a bath circulating circuit 22 for circulating the hot water of a bathtub 6, a heat exchanger 18 mounted on the way of the bath circulating circuit 22 and heating the bathtub water by the hot water stored in the hot water storing tank 2, and the bath return temperature sensor 23 for detecting a temperature of the bathtub water flowing into the heat exchanger 18, and circulating the bathtub water to the heat exchanger 18 to perform the reheating operation, the reheating operation is stopped in a case when the temperature detected by the bath return temperature sensor 23 is not raised during the reheating operation.
