PURPOSE: To reduce the time required for boiling of water in a hot water supplying apparatus of the type in which feed water is heated by a heating unit installed on the outside of a hot-water storage tank and water in the tank is heated through natural convection of water in the tank, by employing an arrangement capable of supplying hot water after reheating a mixture of feed water and warm water in the hot- water storage tank.
CONSTITUTION: In a hot water supplying apparatus of the type in which a heating unit 2 including a burner 3 is installed on the outside of a hot-water storage tank 1 and water in the tank 1 is heated gradually by heating water supplied from a water supply port 9 by the heating unit 2 and causing circulation of water in the tank 1 by the function of the difference in the specific weight of water in the tank 1, a heat exchanger 4 equipped in the heating unit 2 is installed in the manner that it is inclined downward to the left. With such an arrangement, when feeding hot water by opening a tap 11, water supplied from the water supply port 9 is carried via a water pressure sensitive secton 8 to a distributor 12, from which a part of water is carried to the tank 1 while remaining water is carried through a distribution pipe 13 and mixed with warm water from the tank 1. Then, it is reheated by the heating unit 2 and supplied from the tap 11. Here, a valve in a circulation block 10 is closed through detection of the differential pressure of water flow at the water pressure sensitive section 8.
