PURPOSE: To provide a basement that enjoys an opening sensation organically connected to the aboveground stories, and besides, excellent in lighting and ventilating properties as well as to realize such a low-cost basement as large in the degree of freedom in design and good in drainability.
CONSTITUTION: A skip floor 4, whose upper part is opened, is installed in an interval between an underground floor 1 and a first floor 3. In addition, an outer wall 6 of the underground floor 1 is set down to such a caisson structure that an assembly 23 consisting of prestressed concrete slabs 21 is pressed in the ground. In this case, an outer wall 7 surrounding the skip floor 4 is formed into a block structure for inserting a block stacking panel 25 into an excavating groove 24. Moreover, a cavity part 32 is installed in a block 40 and a drain passage 33 is formed.
