To provide a housing case for a railroad model capable of easily and quickly switching a railroad model between a housing condition and a working condition for improving space efficiency of an interior space and capable of driving the railroad model in the housing condition for its view.

This housing case 1 is provided with a case body 2, a shelf member 4 for placing the railroad model L, a housing part 3 housing a controller 7 for controlling drive, and a supporting means 5 supporting the shelf member 4 freely movably in the horizontal direction to the case body 2. The case body 2 is provided with a transparent top plate 15 and an opening/closing door 18 opening and closing the lateral side of the case body 2. By means of the housing case 1, the railroad model L can be easily and quickly displaced between the housing position and the operating position by horizontally moving the shelf member 4. The upper face of the top plate 15 can be used as a table face. The railroad model can be observed for pleasure through the top plate 15.
