To provide a computer system safer against improper operation so that the power hazard for a user is considerably reduced or prevented.
According to the present invention, a housing 1 for a computer system can be opened by walls 2a, 2b, 8a, and 8b of at least one housing for access into the housing 1, and an opening 4 for an external connector plug 7 is arranged on a wall 3 of a second housing. The housing 1 includes a locking device for locking the walls 2a, 2b, 8a, and 8b of the first housing and preventing the opening of the housing 1. The locking device is provided on the opening 4 for the external connector plug 7. The locking device is operable via the external connector plug 7 such that, when the external connector plug 7 is inserted into the opening 4, the walls 2a, 2b, 8a, and 8b of the first housing are locked, and, when the external connector plug 7 is not inserted in the opening 4, the locking of the walls 2a, 2b, 8a, and 8b of the first housing is unlocked. The computer system including such housing 1 is disclosed.
