PURPOSE: To keep the size of a curl of the tape constant and to improve the tape housing efficiency by providing a sucking hole to generate a negative pressure around the entrance of a tape housing body.

CONSTITUTION: The device is provided with a projecting part 2 projecting toward the inner part from the entrance 14a of the tape housing body 11 to guide the tape 7 to the inner part and the sucking hole 4 generating the negative pressure around the projecting part. The tape 7 supplied to the entrance 14a of the tape housing body 11 at a high speed by a capstan 24 and a guide roller 5 is temporarily sucked with the negative pressure generated by the sucking hole 4 formed on a vacuum post 3 which is provided on the projecting part 2, then the speed is reduced. By this arrangement, the tape is pushed by a tape fed from the rear part and the curl is formed toward the inner part at the place between the entrance 14a and sucking hole. When the tape is further progressed, it is pulled off from the sucking hole 4 by the curl made toward the inner part. Next, the tape advenced from the rear part along the side wall 1 of the guide is sucked by the sucking hole 4, then this operation is successively performed.
