PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure that can readily reduce weight while meeting strength requirement for a housing for a steering gear unit.SOLUTION: A rack housing 10a constitutes a housing 9a produced by casting such as die casting with a light alloy such as an aluminum-based alloy.
