To provide a housing structure good in assembling workability by preliminarily holding a facing plate to an elastic packing.

This housing structure is constituted of a housing 6 having a flange 7 formed on the peripheral edge on the opening side thereof, a front perspective plate 3 covering the opening front of the housing 6, a facing plate 5 positioned between the front perspective plate 3 and the housing 6 and covering at least the peripheral edge of the opening side of the housing 6 and an annular elastic packing 1 having the annular groove holding and supporting the peripheral edge part of the front perspective plate 3 formed thereto and having the annular stepped part 4 engaging with the peripheral end surface of the facing plate provided thereto in a downwardly protruding state and having a protruding part formed onto the inner peripheral surface of the annular stepped part 4. In such a state that the elastic packing 1 is placed on the flange 7 of the housing 6, the lower end peripheral edge of the ring 8, to which the outer surface of the elastic packing 1 is fitted, is fastened and bonded to the flange 7 of the housing 6 under pressure.
