PURPOSE: To provide an inexpensive housing type handle device by which the number of part items is reduced and assembling is simplified.

CONSTITUTION: A housing type handle device is provided with a case 2 having a recessed part 2a depressed to the back face side of a door and a handle 3 which is housed in a front side space of the recessed part 2a and whose intermediate part is pivotally fixed to the case 2 by a pivot 4, and the handle 3 is alternatively energized to the housing side or the projecting side by a spring 5 of a dead point mechanism. One end 5b of the spring 5 is installed in a spring receiving groove 2b of the case 2, and the other end 5a is installed in a projecting part 3a of the handle 3 positioned between the pivot 4 and the spring receiving groove 2b when the handle is housed.
