小ペプチドに基づく化合物および製薬学的に許容し得る担体を含有する組成物を用いて、選択的な腺のファルマコアブレーションを行う方法を開示する。前立腺の過剰成長物を選択的に破壊する方法は、アブレーションの対象部位に構造的に近接した重要な神経組織、間質組織、血管組織、結合組織、尿道筋構造、および構造要素を実質的にまたは完全に保存する。
