Abstract:
To quickly perform positional alignment for a caliber center of a roll caliber and a guide center of a roller guide, as well as, improve accuracy thereof.SOLUTION: After a measuring apparatus 1, which comprises a measurement sensor 2, a fitting stand 3 for holding the measurement sensor, and a gauge 4 for receiving output emitted from the measurement sensor, is fitted onto a roller guide G, a positional deviation m between both centers which is a distance from a sensor center SL of the measurement sensor to a caliber center CL of a roll caliber RC, and a positional deviation n between both centers which is a distance from the sensor center to a guide center GL, are respectively measured by the measurement sensor to calculate a difference between the positional deviations. After the calculation, the roller guide is laterally moved, and at a time point when a measured scale displayed on the measurement sensor has reached a value equivalent to the difference, the movement of the roller guide is stopped.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
