Abstract:
The elevator has a cabin (11) and a counterweight (12) arranged in a shaft (10), and a drive machine mounted on a cross beam (8). The cross beam is fixed on counterweight guides (9, 9) and a cabin guide (5). The cabin and the counterweight are operated by a propellant. The guides are mounted to form a horizontal triangle in the shaft area such that the drive machine is arranged above the cabin or above the counter weight. An independent claim is also included for a method for arrangement of a drive machine in an elevator.
