Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for collecting converter dust, which can collect converter dust while separating high Zn dust from low Zn dust without installing excessive equipment rows for dust collection and exceeding the processing capacity of the equipment.SOLUTION: The method for collecting converter dust uses a plurality of converter furnaces and the equipment rows for collecting converter dust configured by the same number of groups as the number of the converter furnaces to collect converter dust emitted from the plurality of converter furnaces. The method for collecting converter dust includes the steps of: creating a master curve that represents a relationship between a Zn density in the converter dust and a blowing time or accumulated amount of oxygen supplied/total amount of oxygen supplied; comparing Zn densities in the converter dust emitted from the converter furnace that is loaded and discharges during blowing of the converter furnace which is blown based on the master curve; and switching and transferring each converter dust emitted from the converter furnace that is loaded and discharges, to the equipment rows for collecting converter dust based on the comparison result of the Zn densities.
