PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a splicing tape that can firmly connect carrier tape to each other, suppress an impact from being pushed up of splicing tape by a boss when the boss of a sprocket is inserted into a sprocket hole and detect a splice part by an optical sensor, and to provide a method for connecting transportation tape.SOLUTION: The splicing tape attached to the transportation tape having a plurality of sprocket holes includes a plurality of cut at the same intervals as the plurality of sprocket holes.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
