Abstract:
To provide a method for designing a fuel injection device in which in the displacement process of a needle, the sliding resistance to a cylinder is stabilized to improve the injection accuracy.SOLUTION: In a cylinder 70, a control chamber relief portion 77 having an inner diameter H larger than an inner diameter d of a slide hole 78 is formed adjacent to the upper end of the slide hole 78. A needle 50 is displaced by pressure fluctuations in a control chamber 35, and a part of a slide shaft portion 52 faces the entire range of an axial length Lc of the slide hole 78 during the entire displacement process. Representing the inner diameter of the control chamber relief portion 77 as H, the outer diameter of the slide shaft portion 52 as D, the inner diameter of the slide hole 78 as d, the axial length of the slide hole 78 as Lc, and an excess distance as Lu, which is the distance from a reference position, where the lowest point in the circumferential direction of an upper end peripheral edge portion 54 of the needle 50 coincides with the height of the upper end of the slide hole 78, to the upper limit of a stroke along the central axis On of the needle 50, the inner diameter H of the control chamber relief portion 77 is set to satisfy the following formula (H-d)/2>(d-D)×(Lu/Lc).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
