Abstract:
To efficiently dissipate collision energy.SOLUTION: In a base-isolation structure designing method of a base-isolation structure installed with a base-isolation mechanism between an upper structure and a lower structure, a buffer material is installed on the side face of a wall part of the lower structure facing an outer face of the upper structure. The designing method comprises steps of: calculating a first deformation amount of the upper structure in a first horizontal direction in relation to the lower structure, a second deformation amount in a second horizontal direction and a rotation angle on a horizontal surface; temporarily setting the quality of material and a three dimensional shape of the buffer material; obtaining a first position in the first horizontal direction of the buffer material when the outer face of the upper structure comes into contact with the wall part and the buffer material at the same time when the upper structure displaces by the first deformation amount, the second deformation amount and the rotation angle; confirming no collision of the upper structure to the wall part due to the deformation of the buffer material even if a megalo-earthquake occurs, by bringing the buffer material near to an end part of the wall part from the first position; and setting the buffer material at the second position where no collision of the upper structure to the wall part is confirmed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
